Father Christmas visits Historic Downtown Poulsbo, WA

Poulsbo (pronounced  pôlz′·bō) is a quaint and delightful city that sits right on Liberty Bay in Kitsap County, Washington.   

 

Poulsbo has a long history as a destination for immigrants from Scandinavia, particularly Norway and Finland. Downtown Poulsbo maintains a Scandinavian theme in its shopsrestaurants, and other local businesses and is a popular regional tourist destination. The Port of Poulsbo's Marina and the waterfront park are only a short walk from downtown's Front Street.

  • February 14th ~ Valentines Day. Individual businesses promoting Valentines Day events.

  • Presidents Day (Mon. 2/20).  In store sidewalk sale! Participating businesses will set up clearance tables.

  • St. Patricks Day (Sat. 3/17).  “Little Norway Goes Green!”  Participating businesses will have St. Patricks day promotions.

  • Easter is April 8th.

  • Sunday April 22nd is Earth Day. Marine Science Center Fundraiser with crafts for kids, barbecue.

  • April is Poetry Month ~ events at participating businesses.

  • May 2nd (Weds.) Girls Night Out!!  Businesses open until 8pm.

  • Viking Fest is May 18-20th.

  • June 2-3rd Midsummerfest.

  • June 17-23rd Hopstock with Pub Crawl June 20th.

  • July 3rd Independence Day Celebration

  • August 11th Street Dance

  • August 13-22nd Babe Ruth World Series with Parade in Downtown Poulsbo August 14th.

  • Movies at Waterfront Park Sunday evenings in August.
  • Classic Boat Festival ~ end of August.

  • Fall Harvest Festival/Oktoberfest begins September 29th and runs for 2 weeks.

  • Farm to Table event.
  • October 14th: Poulsbo Marathon.

  • October 31st ~ Halloween.  Downtown Trick or Treating at businesses

   ·        November/December: Julefest, Santa and Mrs. Claus, Carriage Rides.

 Art Walks held the 2nd Saturday of every month.  Galleries and participating businesses open until 8pm.
